RBC Dexia Investor Services Names Head Of Portfolio Solutions Group

RBC Dexia Investor Services, which operates in offshore and onshore markets, has appointed Simon Hirtenstein as head of its portfolio solutions group within its Market Products & Services team.

Reporting to Susan Pike, global head, Market Products & Services Hirtenstein will be based in RBC Dexia’s London office. He will be responsible for direct sales of Market Products and Services on a third party basis.

Previously, he held senior leadership roles in Canada, the UK and Bermuda, including a position at HSBC Securities Services. Most recently, he was a consultant director with SIAM consulting, a business focusing on strategic consulting, operational improvement, product development and offshoring.

Previous roles included senior relationship manager for the offshore market Barclays Wealth (since renamed the investment and wealth management arm of Barclays). He was also vice president, senior business change manager at HSBC Bank Bermuda.

RBC Dexia Investor Services is joined owned by Royal Bank of Canada and Dexia, the Franco-Belgian financial services firm. RBC Dexia Services has $2.9 trillion of client assets under administration and is one of the world’s largest custodians.
